Program Committee
The Program Committee is charged with constructing
the Division of Rehabilitation Psychology Program
at the Annual Convention of the American Psychological
Association. The President chooses the theme
of the Division 22 program and the Program Committee
Chair. The Chair also works closely with the
Board of Convention Affairs to coordinate with
the larger APA program. The responsibilities
of the Chair include:
* Forming a Program Committee
* Soliciting invited speakers for the convention
program
* Forming a Peer Review Group to score the program
submissions
* Receiving submissions, sending them for scoring,
accepting/declining submissions based on scores,
and notifying submitters of outcome by letter
* Selecting final program in consultation with
President according to the rules of the APA
Board of Convention Affairs
* Entering program on APA website according
to guidelines
* Working with the Program Chair-Elect to schedule
the Divisional hospitality suite
* Promoting the program
* Submitting a report to the Executive Board
Program Committee members assist the Program
Chair and Program Chair-Elect in accomplishing
these tasks. This is an exciting committee that
requires a moderate amount of effort.
