Fellows Committee
The Fellows Committee is charged with vetting,
and recommending appropriate individuals to
become Fellows of the American Psychological
Association . The highest order of recognition
accorded members of the American Psychological
Association is designation as a Fellow. To become
a Fellow, a member must have made "unusual
and outstanding contribution or performance
in the field of psychology."
Individuals are nominated by a Division and
endorsed by the APA Membership Committee, the
Council of Representatives and the APA Board
of Directors. A Fellow put forth by the Division
of Rehabilitation Psychology is thus a Fellow
of the American Psychological Association. To
become a Fellow, an individual must be nominated
by a Division of APA.
Membership of the Fellows Committee is restricted
to Fellows in Rehabilitation Psychology.
