Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation (BIR) is a 92-bed rehabilitation facility that is part of the Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas campus. This affiliation with a major medical center gives our patients access to over 900 specialty physicians, for medical consultation services and advanced technology and emergency services. BIR is one of the leading rehabilitation hospitals in the country and is part of the NIDRR funded North Texas TBI Model System.
BIR is seeking a full time clinical Rehabilitation Psychologist or Neuropsychologist to provide assessment, intervention and treatment for individuals who are receiving comprehensive rehabilitation following a traumatic spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke or other neurological or orthopedic diagnosis. Clinical duties will include neurocognitive and psychological assessments, development of treatment plans, psychotherapy and cognitive remediation therapy for patients, as well as psychological support for families. Experience working in a rehabilitation setting with a strong multidisciplinary team approach is preferred.
Candidates should have a PhD in Clinical, Health or Counseling Psychology from an APA approved program. The candidate should have postdoctoral training in medical, rehabilitation or neuropsychology and be licensed or license eligible in Texas as either a Provisionally Licensed Psychologist or a Licensed Psychologist. ABPP or desire towards ABPP status highly encouraged.
